Dorm Bedding - Getting The Right FitAs one enters college for the first time, they will be shocked to see that there is nothing in the room to make them feel welcomed. Many college and university dorm rooms are very bland and plain. Therefore the incoming students must be the ones to personalize their space. Since the main focus of the room besides the walls, is the bed, one must be sure to choose the type of dorm bedding that they are comfortable with. There are different types to choose from and with that in mind, their personality and creativity can shine through. Dorm bedding is not hard to choose from. But there is an abundance and different sizes. First off, one must know the size of the bed they will be occupying as a majority of their time will be spent in the room. Size does matter. A typical dorm bed is more slender and longer then the average twin size bed. That is one thing to be mindful of. If needed, find out the measurements of the bed, that way you can be prepared when it's time to shop for bedding. On many of the packaging it will display if its extended twin. That is describing the typical dorm twin beds. So now that you know you will be sleeping on a hard, weird shaped bed than what you are used to, it is time to go shopping for the type, color, brand, design, that interests you. There are many designs and even some name brand ones but be mindful that one is not just enough. Try to aim for about three or four different bed in a bag sets. That way you have variety and can mix and match your sets. There are even sets that feel like your normal clothing, or called jersey. It resembles your jerseys, or sleepwear. These are comfortable. One creative and inexpensive thing to consider as well, is purchasing dorm bedding comforters that are reversible. This will help dramatically when you may want to change the sheets, but it's not time to wash the comforter, it can just be turned to the other pattern. That is one way of extending the amount of times you are doing laundry as well. Choosing dorm bedding is not as hard as it may seem, but it can become overwhelming and possibly even a habit to do when bed sets go on sale or clearance. Attending college is a time to find and develop yourself, and you can use your bedding to let yourself shine.
